Like many kids, my girls enjoy a hearing a story before bed. I am always careful in choosing these stories because I don't want something that will be frightening to the kids or leave them with a scary image in their heads. I was so pleased to receive the Really Woolly Bedtime Bible Promises book since it seemed like a perfect book to read at the end of the day. Learn more about how you can win a copy.Published by Tommy Nelson, Really Woolly Bedtime Bible Promises is a board book that kids 2-5 will particularly find enjoyable. Written by Bonnie Rickner Jensen, it incorporates Bible verses in language that is simple for young ones to understand. It also helps to teach children how special they are to God and how they are one of a kind. The book has become a new bedtime favorite in our house. My husband puts the kids to bed at night and he reads a page in this book to them before prayers. Each set of pages contains illustrations and one of God's promises. This makes the book very conducive to reading a little each evening. You don't feel like you have the finish the entire book in one sitting. My kids don't just enjoy reading the book at bedtime. They have been reading it at various points throughout the day. When I read the book with them during the day, I will ask them to pick out a page they want me to read them. They eagerly wait their turn to chose their promise.
What makes this book unique is that each set of pages ends with a simple prayer that is easy for little ones to memorize "I pray, God, You'll show me how special I am. I ask you to help me discover Your plan."
The illustrations by Donna Chapman are from the popular Really Woolly brand. Kids will want to cuddle up with the bunny, lamb and duck in the book. You can check out the illustrations by clicking

ReplyDeleteThese Bible Promises would fit perfectly into my child's story before bedtime routine. I would read it to my son before he goes to sleep at night.
ReplyDeleteThis would be a nice transition between my kids nightly routine of reading books and prayer time and then off to bed.
