It is clear to me that in order to take care of myself, some changes need to be made. There are two areas where I would like to achieve more balance in my life - Work and Health. It would be tempting to make a big overhaul in each of these areas and institute lots of changes. But I find trying to make too many big changes can be overwhelming. So I am starting small by making simple changes that I will be able to stick with.
Work
My husband jokes that I am an Internet entrepreneur. That makes me sound like some kind of media mogul - which I am NOT. What I am, is a mom trying to produce a blog and maintain all the social media networks that go along with it. I am a mom trying to bring some much needed income to our family. This leads to me working a crazy number of hours per week. I am a workaholic no doubt, and I love what I do so it is easy to get lost in it. This however, has left me feeling tired and grumpy because I feel like I never have time to do anything for me, like a hobby or interest. I have started making a schedule of hours when I will work and scheduling in some "me time" as well. This small change is allowing me to maintain my sanity. I am hoping I can keep it up!
Health
The biggest way I have been neglecting myself is when it comes to my health. I have been so busy taking care of the kids, the house, and working that I have ignored what my body needs. As I result I have gotten out of shape.
During a recent trip to Walmart for #CollectiveBias, I picked up some food items that would allow me to get back on track. I have used Lean Cuisine foods in the past with success and decided to stock up on some. I was pleased to see how much the line has grown. In addition to favorites like Macaroni and Cheese, it now includes snack items like Three Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Pretzels and lunch options like Wrap ADDITIONS. With Lean Cuisine currently offering a Money Back Guarantee when you try 10 Lean Cuisine Entrees for ten days, now is the time to taste some if you haven't already. Find all the details on the Feel Great Money Back Guarantee here.
I also grabbed some Sugar Free Coffee-Mate in French Vanilla for my morning coffee and Skinny Cow Divine Chocolates for those times when only chocolate will do.
Armed with these products, I am feeling motivated to make some changes. Some days I was so busy with work and driving the mom taxi, that I would grab some fast food for lunch or graze on my kids snacks. Now when lunchtime rolls around, I can pop a delicious meal (like Sesame Chicken or Macaroni and Cheese - #WowThatsGood) in the microwave and feel satisfied and good about myself.
When a chocolate craving strikes, I stay away from the leftover holiday candy and grab a Skinny Cow chocolate. Since they are portion controlled, I can indulge knowing that I am not overdoing it.
Now that I am getting back on track with my eating, the next step is to incorporate some simple exercise. This has been difficult for me, as I had a nagging foot injury for most of the last year. Currently, it is feeling good, but I certainly don't want to jump into strenuous exercise and aggravate it again. No problem, there are plenty of ways for me to get moving such as walking and bike riding. For the past week I have been getting some exercise in each day. For me it's all about creating a habit.
I am hoping these small changes will add up to a big difference for me. What about you? Have you put your own needs aside too long? Join me in taking better care of yourself so you can be there for others.

Thank you so much for this! So many of us that work from home and take care of our kids don't take care of ourselves! These products are an easy way to do it! :) #Client
