As soon as I saw the pizzas I knew I had to get one for dinner. No toppings for my picky eaters, which is a shame because they had a variety of toppings and varieties like BBQ Chicken Pizza. I also picked up some shells and cheese mix, strawberry yogurt, a chicken Caesar salad grab-and-go kit and some angel food cake for dessert.
I decided I needed something healthy to add to the plate so I bought some pre-washed broccoli florets.
Here are the fresh&easy items we would be having for dinner. There is really no theme to the meal except it was easy and tasty and I could get it prepared quickly.
This meal took me about 10 minutes to prepare. Not bad! Even us busy moms can spare 10 minutes.
It was a hit with the kids which means no food arguments and bargaining. Some broccoli was even eaten! Oh, that every meal could be so peaceful. I had leftovers of the shells and cheese and gave them to my kids the next day for lunch.
Angel food cake is my husband's favorite and I decided to spice it up a bit by adding some chocolate spread and marshmallows that I purchased at Fresh & Easy. Honestly, there's not much chocolate spread and marshmallows can't spice up. Think of this as a S'mores angel food cake.
Cut two thin slices of angel food cake and spread some chocolate on one of the slices.
Cut two marshmallows in half and place on top of the chocolate spread. Pop this in the microwave for 30 or so seconds until the marshmallows start to melt.
Top with the second piece of angel food cake and drizzle with some chocolate syrup if you have some on hand.
This dessert looks impressive but only takes a few minutes to prepare thanks to ingredients from Fresh & Easy. If you want to check out Fresh & Easy yourself, here's a coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase. It expires 7/7 so don't delay too long.
