Back to School Shopping at Sears

We did some back to school shopping as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community. #ThisisStyle for #backtoschool #cbias

Back to school shopping with searsStyle. Picking out clothes for the upcoming school year.

I don't know how the summer has gone by so fast, but next month my twins will be starting Kindergarten. I've already purchased some back to school supplies, and it was time to get some back to school clothes for my growing girls. We headed to Sears to check out the affordable fashion for kids. Before we go any further I must say, I let the girls pick their own clothes. Overall, this went well. One of my twins however, had me almost regretting my decision when she chose an outfit that is a bit dressy for school. Yes, those are sequins and no, I did not tell her to pose like that.

I didn't want my youngest to feel left out because she isn't going to Kindergarten with her sisters, so she got to pick a shirt as well.

There were lots of Fall clothes on display at Sears and my daughters were so excited as they looked through the racks of clothes. My twins are in desperate need of tops and bottoms as they have grown a few inches over the past year. All of their long sleeve shirts are starting to expose their bellies and their jeans are hovering around their ankles. Sears has over 2000 denim styles so I knew we were in the right place.

While we were at Sears, we picked up an extra backpack and shirt to donate to a needy child who will be starting school. We talked about how not all children get to go shop for new clothes and backpacks and thought about how we could help others. My kids really liked this plaid backpack. It came with a matching pencil case. We picked up a pink t-shirt to give along with the backpack. We will be donating the backpack and shirt to our church later this week as they distribute goods to needy children in preparation for the upcoming school year.

When we got home, we unpacked our new clothes and decided to try them on to make sure everything fit. Look how much we were able to get for $150 - 7 shirts, 3 pairs of pants, 1 outfit and 2 backpacks. Plus you can use the Shop Your Way program where you can earn 10 points for every $1 spent on qualifying purchases. You can later redeem points and save, get special member only deals, enjoy personalized savings and use express checkout. I am saving up my points for some clothes for me!

My daughters really loved this owl backpack. It made them feel like such big girls to wear it.

The owl pattern is so whimsical and fun and don't you just love how the backpack is almost bigger than she is!

We picked up some adorable long sleeved shirts for Fall as well as some pants.

My daughter had to get these denim jeans after she saw that the pockets were in the shape of hearts and had a bunny with the word "love" stitched on them.

In keeping with the owl themed backpack, my daughter shows off her owl back to school look.

When shopping for school clothes, I am looking for clothes that are comfortable in addition to being cute and affordable.

clothes for school and play

The girls will be spending time on the playground each day so I wanted to make sure the clothes were easy to move and play in.
