Review: PlasmaCar

My lucky kids were thrilled to test drive a PlasmaCar recently.  We have seen them in the past at Costco and at a local children's play place, and I knew it would be a hit with the kids.

What I didn't realize, was what a big hit it would be with the adults in the house.  The PlasmaCar is recommended for ages 3 and up.  We took the "up" part seriously as my hubby and I both had to test drive it over and over.  This thing is super fun!  It can hold  220 pounds on smooth surfaces, so we felt very safe steering the PlasmaCar around our dining room on the tiles. The PlasmaCar is not recommended for hills or rough or uneven surfaces.  With the weather turning cooler, we are more than happy to ride this thing around in the dining room.

After hubby and I tested it out, we let the 3 year old twins have a turn.  I thought steering the PlasmaCar would be tricky for them, but they figured it out as soon as they got on the thing.  Even my one daughter who doesn't have the best coordination, picked this up right away.  She was zipping along (really slowly of course, she is 3) in no time.  My kids still have not mastered the turning part, so I need to turn them when they get to the wall, but I give them another day before they get that down too.

What makes the PlasmaCar unique?  It can be operated simply by turning the steering wheel back and forth.  That's it!  No pushing with your feet or pedaling.  I really love that this is a toy that will grow with them.  I can see the kids using this for years to come.  When I'm not on it of course!

The PlasmaCar is probably already on your kid's Christmas list. This thing makes a great Christmas gift and you will get a lot of use out of it, as it can be used by the entire family.  It only takes about 5 minutes to assemble so you'll be driving around in no time.  Amazon sells the red PlasmaCar that we received for $49.95.  It's got great reviews there too.  Red not your color?  No problem.  The PlasmaCar also comes in yellow, blue, purple, pink

You can follow PlasmaCar on Twitter and Facebook.

  7. My son always goes to this car in Learning Express. Thanks for giving me more info. I didn't really know what age it targeted, and thought maybe he was too old at 5. Guess not!

    Happy Thanksgiving to your family.
