Guest Post from Jamie's Jumble - Turkey Decor Project

Today Jamie, from Jamie's Jumble is visiting us and she has a great Turkey activity that will get you into the Thanksgiving spirit.  My favorite thing is that you can make this fun turkey using items you find at the dollar store.  Can you see why I am a big fan of Jamie's?  Jamie loves to craft and lucky for us she really loves sharing her crafts with others.  Please pay her a visit and say hi!

I am SOOOOOOOO EXCITED to be able to guest blog here with Vicky on Mess for Less. I'm just tickled pink! I hope you all enjoy this fun project that has added smiles and Thanksgiving Brightness to our house!

Kid Friendly Turkey Decor Project:

Supplies Needed:
  • Heavy paper like poster board, card stock etc...(I found mine at Dollar Tree!)
  • Turkey Design
  • White Glue
  • Any fun things you can find! We used glitter, food sprinkles, tissue paper, popcorn kernels, colored pasta, shaped pasta, cereals
1- Find a fun Turkey design. This is like the one I used for my kids.....

2- Cut out your Turkey Design and glue to your poster board. Let dry.

3- Get out all your decorating supplies. (And if you're doing this with younger kids – you might want to tarp your floor!)

4- Let them go to town!

(My boy thinks he's "TOO COOL" for crafts- unless it has to do with Cub Scouts...)

Something fun and easy to brighten up the house!
(PS- if you're using pasta, kernels, or other heavy/bulky items… when your child is done with their creation, use the white glue to create a “build-up” around the items. Or they will fall off…. And if you could see my carpet you would think cupid got drunk on sprinkles and threw up. You can also use a MIST of Krylon Clear Sealer to prevent the glitter and sprinkles from falling off.)

Thank you again Vicky for having me over!! I sure had fun!!
