Review and Giveaway: 100 Devotions, 100 Bible Songs

I received the book "100 Devotions, 100 Bible Songs" to review and I am so excited to share my thoughts with you!  This book comes with a special bonus 2 full length CD's of great Bible music.  Written by Stephen Elkins and published by Thomas Nelson, this book will help your child get into the habit of daily devotions using praise music, scripture and prayer.


My daughters love learning about God in the children's ministry at church and we have been looking for ways to incorpoerate more teachings here at home. This book and it's companion CD's are the perfect answer.  All kids love music and many learn best through songs.  With this book, children can read a devotional, sing a favorite song and say a prayer.  It's a fun way for children to learn about God.  The book is recommended for ages 4-8.  I have twin 3 year olds and I can tell you they enjoyed it and got a lot out of it too.  I read them the devotions and they ask questions about the pictures.  We then listen to the corresponding song and they sometimes will sing or dance.  We do this at bedtime, but I can see this book being used anytime.  It would be a great addition to any school program as well.

    My kids have a devotional cd they love (it is always in the car, and is requested any time we go anywhere), and we have a devotional bible, but it doesn't have a cd, so they quickly lose interest. I would love this for structured devotions - I want to bring more of the teachings of Christ into the home instead of them only having that at church. Thanks for sharing about this!
