Gross Guts Sensory Play

Gross Guts Sensory Play - add some Halloween toys to red Jell-o to create a squishy, slimy play experience.

With Halloween fast approaching, I am getting all my Halloween ideas out of my system. We've already played a Spider Invasion Game and did some Candy Corn Counting. My girls may look like little princesses, but they love some messy, slimy fun as much as anyone. I bought some small Halloween toys and added them to red Jell-o to create a Gross Guts Sensory Play experience. Grab a smock and prepare for some disgusting play.

Gross Guts Sensory Play

I made some Jell-o according to package directions. When it was ready, I mixed some eyeballs, bones, spiders and snakes into it.

Sensory fun

This ended up looking pretty gross, so we dubbed it "guts". You know anything that is disgusting is automatically more fun for kids, so the ick factor definitely made this activity cooler.

It wasn't long before my daughter dug into the guts with her hands.

She loved the feel of the cool Jell-o against her fingers.

Jell-o is scented, squishy and edible which makes it the perfect sensory material for little ones. If your child happens to take a taste, no problem.

We did end up with red hands after our sensory play, but they came clean with a few washings.
