15 Minute Craft - Beaded Garland Christmas Tree

I have a quick and easy Christmas craft for you today.  This decorated cone took me all of 15 minutes to complete and looks pretty cute sitting on my mantle.  

I saw some Styrofoam cones a while ago during one of my dollar store trips and bought a few to use with the girls.  I ended up never using them for a kids project, but when I found this beaded garland sitting in one of my Christmas boxes, I thought it would be perfect for decorating the cone.

Supplies You Will Need:

• Hot glue and gun
• Styrofoam cone
• Beaded garland
• Star ornament

Apply a ring of hot glue to the top of the cone and press the garland onto it.

You will want to keep adding glue while wrapping the garland around the cone.  It may not look as straight as you would like it, but keep going because the end result looks great.

Try to avoid hot glue burns.  I did not.  

All done!  Now what to do with the top?

I cut some of the garland and glued it on top.  The cone still looked like it was missing something, so I found a star ornament I had on hand, took off the top hanger, and glued it on my cone.

 I think it looks so festive sitting between my two Santas.

This was super easy to make and if you don't mind burning your fingers a few times on hot glue, you should try it.  You can use it as a centerpiece, on the mantle, or in any Christmas display.
